Este é o último livro que comecei a ler. Descobri-o há pouco tempo, pois não conhecia Richard Dawkins destas andanças "metafísicas". Este livro pretende ser precisamente o contrário da metafísica. Conhecia Dawkins desde o tempo da faculdade. Um neodarwinista excelente. Não lhe conhecia esta faceta. Coloquei uma imagem da edição original porque a tradução portuguesa trai a essência do livro. The God Delusion não significa A Desilusão de Deus. É uma falha grave. Mesmo assim o livro é fantástico e tem algumas ideias muito originais, tais como:

afirmar o catolicismo como uma religião politeísta;

defender a tese que a nossa tendência inata para obedecermos aos mais velhos, pode estar na base para a crença de todos os povos numa religião;

É um livro obrigatório para todos, ateus, crentes, agnósticos, assim-assim e mais-ou-menos.

O verdadeiro "director"

Estou a poucos dias de me tornar director.
Durante 14 anos tenho sido presidente de um conselho.
Agora vou ser director... o director.
Mais uma vez vou entrar numa viagem sem ter consciência dos "perigos" que me esperam.
O director é actor, sem temor, com pavor, agricultor de palavras, solilóquio interior.
